First Responder Honor Park - Eagle Scout Project

Aiden Harris is a local Eagle Scout who will be creating a small park that honors first responders. After the past year and seeing how hard first responders have worked during COVID, Aiden feels strongly about creating a special place that honors them. The park will pay tribute to firefighters, police officers, EMS, and nurses. Aiden has worked hard on the development of his ideas and created a vision of how this honor park will look. He plans to build a gazebo and create a walkway paved with engraved bricks, engraved with the names of first responders. Aiden wishes to fund his project through donations and fundraising.  His primary fundraising effort involves the sale of engraved bricks for the walkway.

This park will not be a typical memorial park. It is intended to include honoring first responders who are still alive, and putting others’ needs ahead of their own, every day. Aiden’s plans include flower beds, a gazebo, walkways, and a marble slab engraved with the logos that represent the different first responder groups. Additionally, Aiden would like to display each of the four first responders’ group flags on four flag poles in the park.

The park will be situated on Boiling Springs Fire District Property at the corner of S. Batesville Road and Enoree Road across from Buena Vista Elementary School.  If you would like to help Aiden fund his Eagle Scout Community Project, purchase a brick or two or the walkway.  To find out how to purchase bricks, click on the following link:    HONOR PARK
