Accepting applications for qualified candidates for Firefighter/EMT Minimum Qualifications: Candidates shall be 18 years old and have earned a high school diploma or equivalent before making an application. Must attain NFPA Firefighter II certification and EMT-Basic certification within the probationary period. Must successfully pass probationary evaluations to be retained. Ability to read, write, and comprehend material at a level appropriate for the task. A valid South Carolina driver’s license is required, and applicants must be physically capable of operating vehicles safely. Must be available for emergency call-back off-duty. Eighteen-month probation period upon employment offer. Upon successful completion of the probationary period, employees are eligible to receive college education tuition assistance. Shift Schedule: 48 hours On Duty – 96 hours Off Duty Starting.
