BOILING SPRINGS FIRE DISTRICT TO DEDICATE NEW LADDER TRUCK

By: Taft Matney

Greenville County’s Boiling Springs Fire District will dedicate its new ladder truck on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. The ceremony is open to the public and will take place at Boiling Springs Fire District’s Station 14 located at 228 South Batesville Road.

The 2021 Pierce Enforcer 107’ Ascendant Ladder with a 1500 gallon per minute pump will serve as both a ladder truck and a heavy rescue unit -- carrying specialized equipment for technical rescue incidents such as building collapse, trench rescue, and automobile entrapment.

The truck and its associated equipment, including radios and a mobile data terminal for dispatch, cost $1,535,657. The expected service life of this truck is approximately 25 years.
